Real Stories. Real Faith. Rybickulous Hope.

Shalom, y'all!
Have you ever looked at something from your past and wondered, “Can God really use me after this?”
Shame has a way of convincing us that our worst moments, deepest wounds, or biggest regrets somehow get the final say in who we are.
But they don't.
This week on Rybickulous Faith, we're talking about what happens when we stop allowing shame to name us and start believing what God says about who we are.
🎙️ THIS WEEK'S EPISODE
How to Overcome Shame and Find Your Identity in Christ
This week I'm joined by Lynne Farrell, Founder and Executive Director of Seen and Beloved.
Lynne's story is one of faith, healing, vulnerability, and discovering that our identity isn't determined by what has happened to us—or even by the things we wish we could change about our past.
During our conversation, we talk about overcoming shame, finding identity in Christ, the power of testimony, hearing from God, authentic Christian community, and what it really means to experience the abundant life Jesus promises.
One truth kept rising to the surface:
You are not too broken for God to use.

❤️ YOU ARE SEEN. YOU ARE BELOVED.
Lynne is the Founder and Executive Director of Seen and Beloved, a ministry created to help people break free from the false pretenses of this world and discover the radical freedom of becoming who God created them to be.
Her Bible study, Seen: Discovering the Freedom to Be Authentically You, has reached more than 80,000 viewers through RightNow Media and is also being used in women's prisons and trafficking restoration centers.
That's something I love about testimony.
When we allow God into the places we'd rather hide, He can use our stories to reach people we may never even meet.

📖 THIS WEEK'S SCRIPTURE
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
— John 10:10
Jesus didn't promise us a life without hardship.
But He also didn't call us to spend our lives trapped in shame, fear, performance, or the belief that our past has permanently disqualified us.
Abundant life isn't just something waiting for us in heaven.
There is freedom available in Christ today.

Your Past Doesn't Get to Name You
This week's blog digs deeper into Lynne's message and asks an important question:
What has shame taught you to believe about yourself that God never said?
We're exploring how shame affects our identity, why vulnerability and Christian community matter, how testimony can become part of our healing, and practical ways to begin bringing what's hidden into the light.

💭 SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT THIS WEEK
Take a few quiet minutes and ask yourself:
What label have I been carrying that God never gave me?
Maybe it's:
Broken.
Unworthy.
Too much.
Not enough.
Damaged.
Unlovable.
Disqualified.
Then go back to Scripture and ask:
What does God call me instead?
Write His truth down somewhere you'll see it this week.
Because the world will happily hand you an identity.
You don't have to accept it.
🙏 A PRAYER FOR THIS WEEK
Father,
Thank You that You see every part of our stories and still call us beloved.
Help us recognize the lies shame has taught us to believe. Give us courage to bring hidden things into Your light and wisdom to surround ourselves with people who point us back to Your truth.
Teach us to see ourselves through Your eyes rather than through our past, our pain, our accomplishments, or the expectations of others.
For the person who believes they are too broken, too ashamed, or too far gone to be used by You, remind them today that redemption is still possible.
Lead us into the full life Jesus promised.
In Jesus' name, amen.
🌿 THIS WEEK, REMEMBER...
Your worst chapter isn't your identity.
Your pain isn't your name.
Your past isn't your master.
And shame doesn't get to write the ending.
You are seen. You are loved. You are His.
Until next week,
Keep sharing your Rybickulous Faith.
Shalom, y'all! ❤️
